Who we are
GV Consulting (GV) is a highly specialized technical firm focused on regulatory compliance and international development, as well as comprehensive legal advice as a fundamental foundation and indispensable complement to these two areas.
GV operates on three fundamental pillars: technical excellence, zero corruption, and strictly personalized attention.
With studies in Mexico, Spain, England, France, and Chile, GV's members have been judges, litigators, prosecutors, professors, and/or guest speakers at the undergraduate and graduate levels in Mexico, the United States, and several countries in Latin America and the Caribbean, training judges, magistrates, prosecutors, defense attorneys, students, law professors, CSOs, and public officials from a variety of institutions.
Its partners have more than 50 years of combined experience representing clients and achieving results in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Spain, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, and Argentina.
Adhering to the strictest ethical guidelines, GV partners belong to the Mexican Bar Association, the National Association of Corporate Lawyers, the World Compliance Association, and the International Section of the American Bar Association.
What we do
Regulatory compliance
GV assists Mexican and Latin American companies in the creation, implementation, evaluation, and/or strengthening of compliance programs, under the strictest national and international quality standards and requirements.
This includes everything from consolidating corporate ethics as the fundamental pillar of a compliance culture to establishing controls for all types of risks, including internal fraud or the prevention of money laundering and terrorist financing, combating corruption or environmental pollution, and protecting personal data and any other conduct that compromises the legal, operational, or reputational responsibility of the company or its directors or representatives.
Furthermore, with years of accumulated litigation experience, our team conducts internal investigations and independent audits to obtain quality information that enables better decision-making, for the benefit of the organization and the individuals who comprise it.
International Development
Furthermore, GV and its members design, implement, execute, and/or evaluate international development cooperation programs, addressing a wide range of issues including the rule of law, strengthening civil society, and participatory governance (criminal and community justice, human rights, crime prevention, integrity/transparency, etc.).
To this end, for more than 15 years, they have partnered with national and international organizations. Through evidence-based methodologies and with the human person as the essential center and reason for being of all public policy and collective action, they have transformed concrete lives.
With extensive experience managing funding from agencies as diverse as USAID, INL, USDOL, and USDS, our team has extensive experience facilitating the creation of spaces for citizen co-responsibility, in which the private sector and organized civil society assume active roles, not just those of guardians, in achieving the common good pursued by each of our projects.
Law
We practice law, understood as the vehicle for the realization of justice, as the fundamental basis of our two main service areas, incorporating strategies from various legal branches that are essential or convenient for the proper operation of compliance or international development programs.
This includes topics ranging from corporate governance to labor and environmental matters, as well as general conflictprevention and the design of relevant and useful contractual structures that protect our clients' legal liability.
For these purposes, we work from home or in partnership with colleagues who share our fundamental beliefs of zero tolerance for corruption, technical excellence, and strictly personalized service.
