Who we are
GV Consultoría (GV) is a boutique firm with a strong focus on regulatory compliance, international development, and comprehensive legal advisory services—the foundation and indispensable complement of everything we do, including highly specialized criminal litigation in representation of individuals and corporations.
We stand on three core pillars: technical excellence, zero tolerance for corruption, and personalized, client-focused service.
Our team has studied and trained in Mexico, Spain, England, France, and Chile, and includes professionals who have served as judges, litigators, public prosecutors, and professors. They have also been invited as guest or tenured lecturers at leading universities in Mexico, the United States, and across Latin America and the Caribbean, working with judges, prosecutors and defenders, along with law students and private practitioners, civil society organizations, and public officials from diverse institutions.
With over 50 years of combined experience, our team has successfully represented clients and delivered results in Mexico, the United States, Canada, Spain, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Panama, Ecuador, Peru, and Argentina.
Grounded in the highest ethical standards, GV’s partners are active members of the Mexican Bar Association, the National Association of Corporate Lawyers, the World Compliance Association, and the International Section of the American Bar Association.
What we do
GV supports Mexican and Latin American companies in the creation, implementation, evaluation, and strengthening of compliance programs, following the strictest national and international standards of quality and accountability.
This work ranges from consolidating corporate ethics as the cornerstone of a compliance culture, to establishing controls for all types of risks—including internal fraud, anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing, anti-corruption, environmental protection, personal data protection, and any other conduct that may compromise the legal, operational, or reputational responsibility of the company, its executives, or its representatives.
With decades of litigation experience, our team also conducts internal investigations and independent audits to generate high-quality information that enables better decision-making, always in the best interest of the organization and the people within it.
Every intervention is tailor-made to the specific needs of each client and is understood as a fundamental strategy for business growth and sustainability.

On the other hand, GV and its members design, implement, execute, and evaluate international development programs, addressing a wide range of issues that include the rule of law, civil society strengthening, and participatory governance (criminal and community justice, human rights, crime prevention, integrity/transparency, among others).
For more than 15 years, GV has partnered with both national and international organizations to apply evidence-based methodologies that place the human person at the center and purpose of every public policy and collective action, achieving tangible and transformative impact on people’s lives.
With extensive experience managing funding from agencies such as USAID, INL, USDOL, and USDS, our team has developed strong expertise in facilitating the creation of citizen co-responsibility spaces, where the private sector and organized civil society take on active roles—not merely as overseers—in pursuing the common good that drives each of our projects.
Law, understood as the vehicle for the realization of Justice, is practiced by us across two spheres:
- As the fundamental basis of compliance and international development programs, incorporating strategies from the various branches of law that are indispensable or advisable for their proper operation. This includes matters ranging from corporate governance to labor or environmental issues within companies, as well as the general prevention of disputes or the design of appropriate and effective contractual structures that safeguard or clients from legal liability.
- Economic criminal litigation (including fraud, financial, securities, tax, and related matters), both for individuals and corporations, as well as the issuance of specialized legal opinions in these areas.
To achieve these goals, we work either in-house or in partnership with colleagues who share our core values of zero tolerance for corruption, technical excellence, and strictly personalized service.
